Big Band Era Dance Party Sat. Sep. 24, 2011 1-5pm
Dance to the music of the MoodSwing Orchestra at Just Dance Main Ballroom on Saturday, September 24th from 1-5pm. MoodSwing Orchestra is a 12 piece orchestra that plays the original tunes of Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw and others of the Big Band Era. Step into the lighting and charm of a 1940's Nightclub, with the Big Band Era dance music that inspires EC swing, Lindy, Balboa, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Waltz and Cha Cha dancers.
A short show at 3:30pm features a 1940's dance number by the DecoBelles. The DecoBelles are a troupe of charming young women who perform chorus dances of the Hollywood era.
There will be a Lindy and Bal Jam, the Shim Sham Shimmy and the Bohemian National Polka. We will also recognize the dance teachers and event organizers who do so much for our dance communities.
Dance to the Music of the Mood Swing Orchestra
This is a great event to bring family and friends. Join Karen and Michael for a Beginning-Intermediate East Coast Swing Lesson from 1-2pm and then stay and dance the afternoon away. Vintage Dress admired but not required. Beer and Wine available at the no-host bar. We expect a full house again, so sign up for your tickets in advance at the front desk, or buy them online. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at door.

Karen and Michael help you create a great dance party. With Karen as MC and Michael as DJ, your party is going to be fun, keeping everyone dancing and entertained throughout the evening. We specialize in DJ services connected with a dance lesson or dance demonstration as entertainment. We have an extensive music library, covering 1920's to contemporary music and theme party packages for your needs. We can provide a great sound system and can add our team of professionals who provide lights and live video projection as well.
