Enjoy afternoon Tea Dancing and Light Refreshments with Karen and Michael on 1st Wednesday of the month in the spacious Live Oak room and learn some great new dance moves too. Karen and Michael will provide a dance lesson and live DJ services, playing your favorites and taking requests. Come for great music and good company. The Tea Dance happens every week, but Karen and Michael will only be there the 1st Wed of the week.

Karen and Michael perform in Variety Show August 4th at noon
Rossmoor's Fun Day will feature a variety show starring Kendall Ross Bean, Julie Hughes, Karen Lile & Michael Arntz. Concert Pianist Kendall Ross. Fun Day, sponsored by the Rossmoor Recreation Department, will be held in the Sierra Room at Del Valle on Thursday August 4th at Noon.
This show, entitled "Classicus Interruptus II," is the joyful collision between classical music performance and the spontaneous combustion that occurs when Song meets Dance. The show will feature familiar and original classical piano music selections by Kendall, original music by singer/songwriter Julie, and Tango and Ballroom Dancing by Karen and Michael. It is a special blend of Music and Dance from Bach to Ballroom.
Kendall, concert pianist, earned his MasterŐs Degree in Piano Performance and has entertained over ten thousand children, their parents and teachers with his ChildrenŐs Concert Series at the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts. Two of his shows were broadcast on PBS by KCSM, San Mateo and other PBS stations across the Nation. Kendall not only is a music composer and performer for audiences of all ages, he has over 30 years experience as a Master Craftsman of piano building/refinishing and fine tuning. Karen and Michael have been teaching, performing and DJ partners since 2005. They teach and perform Argentine Tango, Salsa, EC and WC Swing, Lindy, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Bachata, Hustle, Nightclub Two-Step and love to bring the joy of dance to audiences and students of all ages.
When Julie isnŐt teaching fitness classes at the Rossmoor Fitness Center, sheŐs performing her originalmusic at venues ranging from the Pub to the Pulpit; from spirit songs to comedy. SheŐs performed hermusic throughout the Bay Area including the Gilroy Garlic Festival, ChildrenŐs Summer Concert Series, many restaurants, churches, synagogues, campfires and living rooms. Her informal folk style and rhythmic compositions invite some serious toe-tapping and singing along.
Fun Day is a free program sponsored by the Recreation Department and is open to all residents and their guests.
